RCP2GEMS Telemetry Converter


This tool converts your RaceCapture telemetry log file (*.log) to an importable CSV file for the GEMS dlog99 to use with the GEMS Data Analysis software.
Select RCP File to Convert (max filesize 50mb):
No GPS

USAGE:
1. Select your RaceCapture log file. If you don't have GPS, select No GPS
2 Cick Convert
3. Save converted file to your PC
4. Download dlog99 (link)
5. Open dlog99
6. Choose File > Import and select the converted log file
7. Choose Float Point and click Import
8. Save imported .sft file to your PC
9. GEMS data analysis software and open imported .sft file

Adding the Track Map:
1. Open telemetry file in GEMS Data Analysis software (Free version)
2. In the Channels window, right click on Latitude > Channel Properties > Change Base Units to Degrees. Repeat for Longitude
3. Top drop down menu click on Data > Distance Channel Setup > Uncheck Use Existing Channel and Or Generate Calculated Distance
4. In the Or Generated Distance from GPS window, in the Longitude tab, select Longitude. In the Latitude tab, select Latitude
5. Top drop down menu click on Add > Track. Click Setup Track.
6. Enter the track a name at the top
6. Below the Log File option, make sure Entire Log is selected in the drop down menu
7. Click Calculate. Click Ok

Saving Track Map for future use:
1. In the track map window, right click > Configure Track
2. Click Export KML
3. Make sure Export Markers is checked
4. Click Export
5. Save .kml file in default location (Documents\GEMS\DataAnalysis\kml)
6. Click Save
7. Save .gdatrk file in defalt location (Documents\GEMS\DataAnalysis\tracks)
8. In future if you need to add/reload the track map, load the .gdatrk and .kml file

Splitting telemetry into individual laps:
1. In the track map window, right click > GPS Lap Beacons
2. If you just created this track, select Add Beacon Here (Lap). Move green beacon to Start/Finish
3. Otherwise, select Show Beacons
4. Click Generate Markers
